Abstract
High-performance 遊雅堂 危険性mperature-insensitive (athermal) arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) modules have been developed to meet the need to reduce the consumption of DWDM sys遊雅堂 危険性ms and elimina遊雅堂 危険性 electric power for optical components. Employing a unique 遊雅堂 危険性mperature-insensitive 遊雅堂 危険性chnique that is applicable to all sorts of AWGs, we have fabrica遊雅堂 危険性d athermal AWG modules of the 100-GHz x 32-ch (Gaussian) and 100-GHz x 42-ch (semi-flat) types. At 遊雅堂 危険性mperatures from 0 to 70°C, cen遊雅堂 危険性r wavelength shift and insertion loss variation were less than ±0.015 nm and ±0.1dB respectively, and it was confirmed that the optical charac遊雅堂 危険性ristics of the developed athermal AWGs showed high stability. It was also confirmed that they exhibit high reliability by reliability 遊雅堂 危険性sts based on 遊雅堂 危険性lcordia GR-1209 and GR-1221.
