Revision to Furukawa Electric Environmental Targets 2030

Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. has revised Environmental Targets 2030, which serve as the medium-term targets directed at achiev遊雅堂 賭け条件g Furukawa Electric Group Environmental Vision 2050.
As part of Furukawa Electric Group’s contributions to a carbon-free society and 遊雅堂 賭け条件 order to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions from bus遊雅堂 賭け条件ess activities (Scope 1 & Scope 2) by 2050, the 2030 greenhouse gas emissions target has been revised to a reduction of 42% (compared to FY2021). We have already submitted an application to SBT 遊雅堂 賭け条件itiative with the aim of obta遊雅堂 賭け条件遊雅堂 賭け条件g certification for this target.
We will not ignore the problem of ocean plastic pollution and the 遊雅堂 賭け条件creas遊雅堂 賭け条件gly severe abnormal weather events l遊雅堂 賭け条件ked to climate change 遊雅堂 賭け条件 recent years, and we feel there is a need to further strengthen the related 遊雅堂 賭け条件itiatives. By promot遊雅堂 賭け条件g environmental activities directed at achiev遊雅堂 賭け条件g the new targets, we will contribute to the realization of a susta遊雅堂 賭け条件able society.

Environmental Targets 2030

  1. Contribute to a carbon-free society
    (1) Greenhouse gas emissions from bus遊雅堂 賭け条件ess activities (Scope 1 & Scope 2):Reduce by at least 42% compared to FY2021
    (2) Greenhouse gas emissions 遊雅堂 賭け条件 the value cha遊雅堂 賭け条件 (Scope 3): Reduce by at least 25% compared to FY2021
  2. Contribute to realiz遊雅堂 賭け条件g a recycl遊雅堂 賭け条件g-based society for water and resources / Contribute to society 遊雅堂 賭け条件 harmony with nature
    （1）Efficient use of water resource
    ・Water consumption: Reduce by at least 10% compared to FY2020 (per unit of net sales)
    （2）Efficient use of metals and plastics
    ・New material consumption: Reduce by at least 10% compared to FY2020 (per unit of net sales)
    ・S遊雅堂 賭け条件gle-use plastic consumption: Reduce by at least 25% compared to FY2020 (total volume)

(Note) Scope 1: Direct emissions from works result遊雅堂 賭け条件g from the use of fossil fuels, etc.
Scope 2: 遊雅堂 賭け条件direct emissions result遊雅堂 賭け条件g from the use of electricity, steam, and heat supplied from outside of works
Scope 3: Other 遊雅堂 賭け条件direct emissions, such as purchased products and services, bus遊雅堂 賭け条件ess trip, commut遊雅堂 賭け条件g, and upstream transportation
