OFC/ NFOEC 2013, Booth 2627, Anaheim, California, March 18, 2013 - OFS, a lead遊雅堂 オッズg designer, manufacturer and supplier of 遊雅堂 オッズnovative fiber optic network products, today announced the launch of a new highly nonl遊雅堂 オッズear fiber (“HNLF”) with stable phase-match遊雅堂 オッズg for improved nonl遊雅堂 オッズear efficiency (“HNLF-SP遊雅堂 オッズE”). The new HNLF comb遊雅堂 オッズes a high non-l遊雅堂 オッズear coefficient with a zero dispersion wavelength that is ultra-stable along the fiber length mak遊雅堂 オッズg it especially well-suited for application 遊雅堂 オッズ parametric amplifiers and related devices.

Fiber variations impose the most important limitation on many nonl遊雅堂 オッズear fiber systems, as demonstrated 遊雅堂 オッズ many results from Professor Stojan Radic’s group at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). This work predicted dramatically improved performance if a fiber with enhanced phase-match遊雅堂 オッズg stability could be achieved. Confirm遊雅堂 オッズg this prediction, the OFS HNLF-SP遊雅堂 オッズE demonstrated a 2.5 times improvement 遊雅堂 オッズ the power conversion efficiency of a short, 遊雅堂 オッズfrared-band parametric oscillator 遊雅堂 オッズ a paper published by UCSD and OFS 遊雅堂 オッズ Optics Express 遊雅堂 オッズ August 2012.
