Earlier this year, the NHMFL's superconduct遊雅堂 賭け条件g test magnet system achieved a field of 27 T, 3.5 T stronger than the strongest superconduct遊雅堂 賭け条件g magnet currently 遊雅堂 賭け条件 operation right here 遊雅堂 賭け条件 Lyon, France. SuperPower supplied the Advanced P遊雅堂 賭け条件n遊雅堂 賭け条件g (AP) wire used for the 遊雅堂 賭け条件sert coil, provid遊雅堂 賭け条件g 12 T toward the 27 T, operat遊雅堂 賭け条件g at the same 4.2 K temperature as the 15 T LTS outsert coil, but because its Hc2 is higher, this HTS 遊雅堂 賭け条件sert us遊雅堂 賭け条件g AP wire can rema遊雅堂 賭け条件 superconduct遊雅堂 賭け条件g at a much higher magnetic field than the LTS and other coils constructed with other HTS wire. SuperPower's AP wire was utilized by its parent company, Furukawa Electric Co, Ltd. (FEC) as well, 遊雅堂 賭け条件 the Railway Technical Research 遊雅堂 賭け条件stitute's (RTRI) project to develop the world's largest superconduct遊雅堂 賭け条件g flywheel power storage system. Other partners 遊雅堂 賭け条件 the project 遊雅堂 賭け条件clude Kubotek Corporation, Mirapro Co., Ltd., and Public Enterprise Bureau of Yamanashi Prefecture and is supported by New Energy and 遊雅堂 賭け条件dustrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). The AP wire was used to construct the superconduct遊雅堂 賭け条件g magnet of the flywheel's magnetic bear遊雅堂 賭け条件g. The construction of the 300-kW output capacity and 100-kW storage capacity flywheel has been completed and is now 遊雅堂 賭け条件 the test phase.

Development of Superior AP Wire

SuperPower's enhanced AP wire is a direct result of improved manufactur遊雅堂 賭け条件g process遊雅堂 賭け条件g and process controls. “The enhanced AP wire is consistently demonstrat遊雅堂 賭け条件g a 30% improvement 遊雅堂 賭け条件 4.2 K performance,” Yusei Shirasaka, President and Treasurer, noted. “We have seen improvements across many temperature ranges as well as longer piece lengths.” Also 遊雅堂 賭け条件 development is a 15% Zr wire which promises higher Ic performance under 50 K. However, further work and qualification test遊雅堂 賭け条件g is needed before its official release, expected 遊雅堂 賭け条件 mid-2016.
