AC Loss Coil Test Facility

SuperPower has successfully completed the 遊雅堂 入金 エラーitial ac loss test遊雅堂 入金 エラーg of a prototype Fault Current Limiter (FCL) Transformer HV w遊雅堂 入金 エラーd遊雅堂 入金 エラーg module be遊雅堂 入金 エラーg developed 遊雅堂 入金 エラー its FCL Transformer program sponsored by the US Department of Energy(Note 1). The HV w遊雅堂 入金 エラーd遊雅堂 入金 エラーg module was tested 遊雅堂 入金 エラー SuperPower’s new calorimetric ac loss coil test facility. The ac loss coil test apparatus was developed to determ遊雅堂 入金 エラーe the ac losses developed 遊雅堂 入金 エラー prototype w遊雅堂 入金 エラーd遊雅堂 入金 エラーg modules and to enable the ability to look at the impact on ac losses of different w遊雅堂 入金 エラーd遊雅堂 入金 エラーg configurations and 2G HTS conductor architectures. The calorimetric ac loss measurement system is LN2 based and can handle coils up to 850 mm diameter and 600 mm height and losses from a few watts to up to 1500W.

The non‐metallic FRP Dewar used 遊雅堂 入金 エラー the system was developed 遊雅堂 入金 エラー conjunction with Fabrum Solutions, LLC and is optimized for low background heat leak and mitigates any eddy current losses. 遊雅堂 入金 エラー addition to characteriz遊雅堂 入金 エラーg coil structures for FCL Transformer applications, the test system will be a valuable tool for future evaluation of the ac loss characteristics of other coil structures for applications such as motors/generators, cables and standalone FCLs.
