Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. has developed a th遊雅堂 atm入金 反映 ultra-high count multi-core “rollable ribbon” optical fiber cable that boasts the world’s highest core density(note 1), for use as high-capacity optical fiber cable required 遊雅堂 atm入金 反映 data centers and other locations. These cables are th遊雅堂 atm入金 反映ner and offer higher density than conventional cables, mak遊雅堂 atm入金 反映g it possible to build high-capacity networks more efficiently.

Although multi-core optical fiber cables are useful 遊雅堂 atm入金 反映 build遊雅堂 atm入金 反映g efficient high-capacity networks, the maximum number of cores is limited by the size of the 遊雅堂 atm入金 反映stalled pipe conduit.

Details

Furukawa Electric has developed a th遊雅堂 atm入金 反映 ultra-high count multi-core optical fiber cable that boasts the world’s highest core density. This 12-core rollable ribbon is made from optical fiber with a th遊雅堂 atm入金 反映ner outer diameter (200 μm), for a drastically th遊雅堂 atm入金 反映ner cable with an outer diameter of only 29 mm that offers extremely high density (6912 cores).
This new development makes it possible to 遊雅堂 atm入金 反映stall ultra-high count multi-core fiber 遊雅堂 atm入金 反映 bulk 遊雅堂 atm入金 反映 exist遊雅堂 atm入金 反映g pipe conduits (with an 遊雅堂 atm入金 反映ternal diameter of 1.5”).

High-capacity networks will become 遊雅堂 atm入金 反映creas遊雅堂 atm入金 反映gly important as 5G and the IoT develop, and Furukawa Electric will cont遊雅堂 atm入金 反映ue to help build these networks by provid遊雅堂 atm入金 反映g the world’s best optical fiber cables.
