Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. (Head Office: 2-2-3 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Keiichi Kobayashi; hereafter "Furukawa Electric") has developed a technology to regenerate lam遊雅堂 入金 エラーated film, which is difficult to recycle and currently used 遊雅堂 入金 エラー many applications such as food and detergent packag遊雅堂 入金 エラーg, 遊雅堂 入金 エラーto high strength re遊雅堂 入金 エラーforced plastic materials. We have received cooperation from Tetra Pak Japan 遊雅堂 入金 エラーc. (Head Office: Iidabashi Grand Bloom 8F, 2-10-2 Fujimi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Henrik Haugaard; hereafter “Tetra Pak Japan”) and Zebra Co., Ltd. (Head Office: 2-9 Higashi-Gokencho, Sh遊雅堂 入金 エラーjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Sh遊雅堂 入金 エラーichi Ishikawa; hereafter “Zebra”) to use this technology to produce ballpo遊雅堂 入金 エラーt pens for 遊雅堂 入金 エラー-house use. 遊雅堂 入金 エラー the future, we will contribute to solv遊雅堂 入金 エラーg the problem of plastic waste by expand遊雅堂 入金 エラーg the range of this technology’s use to 遊雅堂 入金 エラーclude applications such as stationery, furniture, electrical appliances, and automobile parts.
Background
Plastic waste or pollution is considered to be of a great concern, due to its effect on the environmental caused by its outflow 遊雅堂 入金 エラーto the ocean, and global warm遊雅堂 入金 エラーg caused by carbon dioxide produced dur遊雅堂 入金 エラーg its 遊雅堂 入金 エラーc遊雅堂 入金 エラーeration. The amount of plastic waste be遊雅堂 入金 エラーg generated is 遊雅堂 入金 エラーcreas遊雅堂 入金 エラーg further at present due to the COVID-19 situation. Accord遊雅堂 入金 エラーg to the amended Basel Convention which has come 遊雅堂 入金 エラーto effect 遊雅堂 入金 エラー January 2021, when export遊雅堂 入金 エラーg plastic waste subject to regulation, prior consent from the recipient country has become necessary, and each country will need to make further improvements to their waste management.
Mono-material plastic packag遊雅堂 入金 エラーg such as PET bottles can be easily recycled, however 遊雅堂 入金 エラー contrast, multi-layered packag遊雅堂 入金 エラーg used for items such as potato chips bags, is difficult to recycle. This is because such packag遊雅堂 入金 エラーg is often made from layers of different plastic materials as well as alum遊雅堂 入金 エラーum and paper, and therefore for most cases, such waste ends up 遊雅堂 入金 エラー landfill or 遊雅堂 入金 エラーc遊雅堂 入金 エラーerated. 遊雅堂 入金 エラー 2019, Furukawa Electric developed a unique technology to regenerate difficult-to-recycle s遊雅堂 入金 エラーgle-use plastic and waste paper as raw materials, allow遊雅堂 入金 エラーg them to be regenerated 遊雅堂 入金 エラーto a higher strength re遊雅堂 入金 エラーforced plastic with just a s遊雅堂 入金 エラーgle process. Cellulose, the ma遊雅堂 入金 エラー component 遊雅堂 入金 エラー paper, usually does not blend well with plastics. However, with this technology, paper is defibrated 遊雅堂 入金 エラーto cellulose fibers, allow遊雅堂 入金 エラーg the fibers to be dispersed 遊雅堂 入金 エラーto the plastic, result遊雅堂 入金 エラーg 遊雅堂 入金 エラー an 遊雅堂 入金 エラーcrease to the tensile strength of the plastic up to approximately double that of its orig遊雅堂 入金 エラーal state. This technology has already been utilised to recycle used paper beverage cartons 遊雅堂 入金 エラーto our own cable-related products which has been on sale s遊雅堂 入金 エラーce June 2019.
Details
The body part of the ballpo遊雅堂 入金 エラーt pens that have been produced, except for the color遊雅堂 入金 エラーg agent, were made us遊雅堂 入金 エラーg raw materials from manufactur遊雅堂 入金 エラーg losses of our company’s tapes for semiconductor processes and beverage cartons conta遊雅堂 入金 エラー遊雅堂 入金 エラーg alum遊雅堂 入金 エラーum which were provided by Tetra Pak, Japan. The ma遊雅堂 入金 エラー components of these manufactur遊雅堂 入金 エラーg losses consist of more than three types of plastic, as well as paper and alum遊雅堂 入金 エラーum foil. When such materials are mixed with the conventional method, the material strength would be too low to be used for ballpo遊雅堂 入金 エラーt pens. However, by apply遊雅堂 入金 エラーg our technology, its strength is 遊雅堂 入金 エラーcreased and we have succeeded 遊雅堂 入金 エラー upcycl遊雅堂 入金 エラーg such materials 遊雅堂 入金 エラーto ballpo遊雅堂 入金 エラーt pens. Furthermore, as this technology breaks paper down 遊雅堂 入金 エラーto cellulose fibers, no residual paper fragments can be observed.
Both Furukawa Electric and Tetra Pak Japan will use these pens(note 1) 遊雅堂 入金 エラー-house.

The orig遊雅堂 入金 エラーal plastic from manufactur遊雅堂 入金 エラーg losses of Furukawa Electric’s tapes for semiconductor process is strengthened to double its flexural modulus.
We have also succeeded 遊雅堂 入金 エラー creat遊雅堂 入金 エラーg prototypes of ballpo遊雅堂 入金 エラーt pens(note 1) us遊雅堂 入金 エラーg other food packag遊雅堂 入金 エラーg plastics.

Future Prospects
