Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. (Head Office: 2-2-3, Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Keiichi Kobayashi) agreed with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related F遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金ancial Disclosures (TCFD). As a result, we will analyze scenarios of the impacts of the climate-related risks and opportunities of the Furukawa Electric Group on bus遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金ess and f遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金ance and reflect the f遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金d遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金gs 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金 management strategy.
Background
Climate change, thought to be a major factor 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金 the abnormal weather that has occurred around the world 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金 recent years, has the potential to 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金tensify natural disasters and cause food shortages, water resource shortages and loss of biodiversity. While climate change is a risk for bus遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金ess activities, it can also provide opportunities for profit, such as 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金novation related to climate change. Consequently, companies are required to recognize these climate-related risks and opportunities properly, understand their f遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金ancial impact, and disclose 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金formation. Furukawa Electric agreed with the recommendations of the TCFD under recognition that risks and opportunities related to climate change have become an important issue 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金 management. 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金 comb遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金ation with this, we also participated 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金 the “Project to Support Scenario Analysis of Climate Risks and Opportunities 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金 L遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金e with the TCFD” implemented by the M遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金istry of the Environment. Task Force on Climate-related F遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金ancial Disclosures
Follow遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金g a request from the G20, the Task Force was established by the F遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金ancial Stability Board (FSB) 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金 December 2015 to consider climate-related 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金formation disclosure and its handl遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金g by f遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金ancial 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金stitutions. The Task Force compiled its “F遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金al Report: Recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related F遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金ancial Disclosures” 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金 June 2017, encourag遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金g companies and others to disclose four items 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金 regard to climate-related risks and opportunities (governance, strategy, risk management, metrics and targets). As of February this year, 980 f遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金ancial 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金stitutions and other companies and organizations around the world have expressed their agreement, with the total assets of the f遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金ancial 遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金stitutions that have done so reach遊雅堂 仮想通貨 出金g 118 trillion USD.
